Emirates Airlines is one of the largest airlines in the world and is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The airline was established in 1985 by the government of Dubai with a fleet of two aircraft. Today, the airline operates over 100 aircraft, with current orders for an additional 244 aircraft – including the Airbus A380 Super Jumbo as well as the new Boeing 777-300ERs (as at July 2008). Emirates Airlines operates services are to over 100 destinations in 62 countries. The airline provides operations from a number of cities within Australia – including Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane. From Australia,
Emirates Schedule & NetworkEmirates offers 14 flights per week to Dubai from Sydney and a daily non-stop service as well as an additional seven flights per week via Bangkok. Another 14 flights per week from Melbourne to Dubai and a daily non-stop service between Dubai and Melbourne and a second service via Singapore are also available with this airline. The airline also operates daily services from Brisbane to Dubai via Singapore, and a daily non-stop service between Perth and Dubai. A complimentary chauffeur service is available to passengers travelling in First or Business Class with Emirates Airlines from selected cities, including Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
Emirates First Class & Private SuitesAll Emirates aircraft departing from Australia offer a First Class Cabin with a wide selection of dining, entertainment and comfort options (including luxury sleeper seats). Emirates also offers enhanced private suites in First Class on selected aircraft from Perth. The new private suite is fully equipped with a coat closet, vanity desk and storage options, as well as a private mini bar.
First Class Suite seats recline to become a fully flat bed, and in-flight entertainment options are comprehensive with a wide-screen LCD screen featuring a selection over 600 channels. A la carte gourmet dining options are also offered, including a seven course meal for long haul passengers.
Emirates Business ClassEmirates Business class provides a high standard of luxury and choice – from sleeper and lie-flat seats on selected aircraft to an extensive in flight dining experience. Business class passengers also have access to award winning entertainment options.
Emirates Economy ClassEmirates Economy Class is designed to provide additional room and greater levels of comfort. Aircraft offer personal TV monitors featuring the award winning Emirates inflight entertainment options - including over 600 channels of on-demand programming .
Skywards Frequent Flyer ProgrammeEmirates Airlines operates a frequent flyer programme called Skywards to reward its passengers. Members join at the Blue level, and are able to progress to Silver and Gold as they accumulate reward points. Benefits of Silver and Gold membership include priority check in, lounge access where available and bonus Skywards miles when flying with Emirates. For younger travellers, Emirates offers a reward programme called Skysurfers.
