Virgin Blue Airlines is a Brisbane based low cost airline that was launched in August 2000. It is Australia's second largest airline following the Ansett collapse. The airline also offers flights to a number of international destinations through it's associated services including Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue.
Velocity Rewards is the frequent flyer loyalty program operated by Virgin Blue. Members accumulate points from a number of airline and non-airline partners as well as from spend on the Velocity credit card.
For business travellers, VirginBlue has introduced a number of services beyond their loyalty programme, including business facilities and lounges (called The Lounge) at a number of major airports. The Lounge offers all-inclusive facilities for a membership fee or casual fee basis. Facilities that are provided include newspapers, computers, WiFi internet access, as well as food and refreshments.
