Virgin Atlantic operates long-haul routes between the United Kingdom and North America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, connecting services in Australia run by Virgin Blue. Virgin Atlantic had been operating flights from Sydney to Hong Kong since 2004. Although this service may change as of 2014.

Virgin Atlantic flies to over 35 destinations in the world and they operate flights between North America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Through their new partnership with Delta Airlines, they now offer customers more flexibility to 300 more destinations throughout Asia, Latin America including 44 destinations in North America. In addition, they have code share agreements with 15 other airlines.

On Board Virgin Atlantic Airways
Three classes of service and seating are offered on board Virgin Atlantic Airways; Economy, Premium Economy and Upper Class.
The in-flight entertainment offered on Virgin Atlantic for all passengers in all classes of seats have personal seat back monitors and the newer aircraft such as the Boeing 747–400 and the Airbus A 330–300 offer a Vera touch screen which allows you to access movie programs, music and video games via a touchscreen control. Other aircraft offer Vera on demand including movies, entertainment television programs, music and video games.
Economy Class seating is basic, standard and comfortable, with a seat pitch of 31 inches depending on the type of aircraft you fly. The newer seats are fully adjustable with lumbar support. Meals and in-flight entertainment are included along with headsets.
Virgin Atlantic Airways makes sure you are traveling in comfort with the Premium Economy seats in a class of its own. Seats are made of luxurious leather, including more width and comfort with extra leg room. Seat pitch is 38 inches and with the headrest, leg rest and lumbar support, it's just like a comfortable armchair. A power supply is provided at the seat for laptops and other electronic devices. Premium dining on the Premium Economy includes three delicious main courses to choose from and a huge selection of wines to accompany your meal. In addition, there is a liqueur waiting for you after dinner alongside with your coffee.
Virgin Atlantic Business Class / Upper Class
Upper class service and seating is pure luxury, so be prepared to be spoiled. This class is a mix of Business Class and First Class service. Arranged in a herringbone pattern for more privacy, the beautiful leather seats convert into a fully flat bed that is 6’6” long and considered one of the longest in any business class. In addition, the seat converts from 22 inches wide to 33 inches wide when flat for more sleep comfort. In-seat power and storage is provided for laptops and other devices. Enjoy the entertainment on your own 10.4-inch flat screen monitor.
The newer Upper Class suites are even more luxurious and comfortable with new stylish cabins along with leather seats that convert into a fully flat bed and a comfort system with extra padding. Seats also have more reclining capability. Included is a 12.1-inch touchscreen monitor and a touchscreen handset.
A larger menu selection is provided along with a fancy in-flight bar serving drinks throughout your flight and bar stools to sit and socialize with others on board.
Premium Economy Class
In the “Best Premium Economy Class” section at the Business Traveller Awards in 2007, Virgin Atlantic’s Premium Economy was the winner. A seat width of 21 inches means that the seat is comparable with seats in Business Class in many other airlines. A choice of meals is available, along with an after dinner liqueur. Passengers receive priority boarding and priority baggage reclaim.
Passengers in Economy class receive free drinks and meals, seatback televisions offering video games, movies and tv shows and a free amenity kit. Seats have an average pitch of 31 inches.
Virgin Atlantics frequent flyer program is called the Flying Club and allows members to earn and redeem all their miles on Virgin Atlantic services as well as the partner airlines. Membership is a three tier level; Red, Silver and Gold status. Of course the higher level you achieve, you are provided with more travel benefits and airport lounge access. Gold members are the only ones that are allowed lounge access to the clubhouses.
Virgin Atlantic Lounges
Lounges offered by Virgin Atlantic are called Clubhouses and can be accessed by Upper Class Passengers, as well as the frequent Flying Club Gold members. The Clubhouses are a perfect place to relax and most have a full service bar including delicious food. Some of the lounges even offer shower facilities and spa treatments. Members also have access to lounge locations through their partner airlines.
