On Board United Airlines
United Airlines offers 6 flight classes for passengers to choose from. Whether you are choosing to fly basic economy, economy plus, United P.S., United First, BusinessFirst, or United Global, there are a number of standards the Airline will meet regardless of your flight class. For economy travellers, seats are equipped with a headrest and personal television screen. With their high quality in-flight entertainment, all passengers are able to listen to live radio and watch many of the latest movies and a number of prime time television shows powered by NBC, while enjoying complimentary snacks, drinks, and meals. Some of the higher classes go as far as offering a U.S. power outlet, iPod adapter, a large table, extra leg room, and a completely reclining seat. The airline just recently is began adding WiFi, AVOD, and satellite TV individually at every seat.
United Airlines Travel classes – Cheap Flights
United offers three cabin classes Economy, Economy Plus, Business and First. On board services within each class vary based on the route (domestic/international) and aircraft, however business and first class passengers have access to premium lounge services.
United Airlines Business Class Flights
United Airlines is of great service not only to their economy flyers but also their business class passengers. The airline operates the United BusinessFirst which with other airlines is often referred to as business class. The BusinessFirst passengers are taken care of apart from the regular economy travelers with separate check-in counters and priority security screenings. Each traveller is also prioritized with baggage handling and aircraft boarding. They have separate seating areas that offer more leg room and seat reclining features. Some other features include complimentary pre-departure beverages, multiple course meals, and table linens.
Some flights may be equipped with all of the necessary BusinessFirst equipment and seating, however, may be sold as United First to ensure comfort and pleasure for travelling passengers. Some of these flights include that of the longest domestic trips from the East Coast to Hawaii.
Non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary on Asia-Pacific flights. Cocktails, wine and beer are available for purchase. Passengers may check in 23kg of luggage free of charge. A complimentary meal service is offered.
Passengers wishing to upgrade to Economy Plus may upgrade to this class for a small fee at check in. Extra legroom is one of the benefits of flying in Economy Plus class.
Seats in First Class on international flights have a 180 degree recline (selected aircraft). Passengesr are offered a choice of wake up time and breakfast options. Fast track immigration is available at London Heathrow.
United Airlines Lounges
Previously known as the Red Carpet Club and Presidents Club, United Airlines lounges are now recognized to many passengers as the United Club. The airline operates 50 lounges throughout 39 of the major airports around the world, 5 lounges being located outside of the United States. Complementary services include that of beverages, snacks, and even breakfast. Travellers within the lounges will have access to free WiFi and leisure readings which include the latest newspapers and magazines. Accessibility to the lounges varies among the passengers status with the airline.
Aside from the United Club lounges, the airline also operates the United Global First Lounges which serves Global First Passengers who mainly travel in Business Class. The United Club Lounges are separate from the Global First Lounges, serving as more secure and private areas. The lounges for Global First passengers are restricted to more rules however lenient with their complimentary services which, unlike United Club, offer food and alcoholic beverages.
