Tiger Airways is a low cost carrier based in Singapore at Singapore’s Changi Airport, and has been flying since 2004. The airline is part owned by Singapore Airlines. Tiger Airways flies to 13 domestic destinations within Australia including Mackay, Rockhampton and the Sunshine Coast. Direct flights are also available from Darwin and Perth to Singapore. The airline flies to various destinations within Asia from Singapore, including Phuket, Xiamen and Ho Chi Minh City.

Known as a leading Singapore-based budget airline, Tiger Airways was founded in 2004 under this name, and then re branded their name as Tigerair. This budget airline is based at the Singapore terminal. They are owned by various investment groups, but the majority of the ownership is held by Singapore Airlines. On Board Tiger Airways
As a budget airline, the airline only offers one class of seating which is the Economy Class. When you purchase your ticket, you are basically just purchasing the seating. Seats on the aircraft are a standard width of 18 inches and a pitch of 28.5 inches between seats. If you would like more leg room, you can pay an additional fee to reserve one if available. The seats with the extra leg room have a pitch of 38 inches between them. All other in-flight services that are offered are available for purchase. Food and beverages can either be purchased on board or you can actually pre order your meals when booking your flight. You will receive up to a 10 percent savings and guaranteed meal availability on board. In addition, when you pre order your meal, you will be served your meal first. The airline does not currently offer Business Class to its customers due to it being a budget carrier.

Tigerair services a premier lounge at the Singapore Changi Airport for passengers to rest and refresh before their flight. Private lounge booths are available with massage chairs, TV, magazines and even shower facilities. However the lounge access is for passengers that are departing from Singapore only and those that have paid a fee for the tigerPLUS privileges.

As low-cost airline, Tiger has a single class cabin. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase inflight.
Passengers may travel with 7kg of hand luggage for no additional charge, but there is a Luggage Upsize™ fee for passengers wishing to check in luggage. The charge is based on the amount of luggage to be checked in and can be booked online at the time of ticket purchase.
Passengers may choose their seat when booking for the payment of a small additional fee. Extra legroom and emergency exit seats are also available for an additional cost.
