Why Fly On Tarom
Known for being the oldest Romanian airline, Tarom was founded in 1920 and is mostly owned by the Romanian Government. In 2010 the airline became a member of the Sky Team alliance of airlines. Their total fleet size consists of 24 aircraft. Most of their flights are operated out of their main hub at Henri Coanda International Airport located near Bucharest.
Tarom flies to over 50 destinations in 22 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. In addition to their Sky Team alliance the airline also has code share agreements with 14 other airlines.
Tarom tours has many holiday packages offered on their website to many destinations throughout Romania including exotic getaways to Dubai, Spain, Cypress and Cannes. Escape the city and visit the mountains of Austria or surprise the family with a fantasy trip to the Disneyland resort in Paris.
On Board Tarom
Economy Class and Business Class seating and service are offered on most flights depending on the aircraft and duration. The Economy Class seats include a pitch of 32 inches between seats. Full meals and beverages are served on flights that are over 2 hours long. However, the airline does not offer any in-flight entertainment.
Tarom Business Class
Business Class seating offers more comfort and leg room with a spacious pitch of 42 inches between seats. Gourmet meals and beverages are served on the long haul flights, while shorter flights still offer sandwiches, snacks and beverage.
The airline offers Economy Class passengers access to the Tarom Business Lounge for a fee and they recommend that it is best to purchase this at the time of booking your flight.
