Why Fly On Nepal Airlines
As the national airline of Nepal, the airline was established in 1958. The airline is currently owned by the government of Nepal. All of the Nepal Airline flights are operated out of their main hub at Tribhuvan International Airport. Their current fleet size consists of 5 aircraft although three are undergoing engine replacements and they also have 8 additional aircraft on order. As of late 2013, the European Union has banned all airlines from Nepal from flying to their 28 nations. However, the airline does fly to 29 destinations inside Nepal and others to include Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.
On Board Nepal Airlines
Two classes of seating and service are offered on board Nepal Airlines and include the Economy Class and Business Class. Economy Class seats are standard yet comfortable. Passengers are provided with meals and a large selections of wines and beverages to choose from.
Nepal Airlines Business Class
Business Class seats are wide and comfortable. Seats are in a 2-2 configuration and offer more leg room and space as there is no middle seat. Exclusive gourmet meals are served along with a range of cocktails and other beverages. A pillow and blanket are also provided for those passengers that feel the need to rest.
Nepal Airlines Lounges
There is an airport lounge that is operated by Radisson Hotel Kathmandu and allows Business Class passenger flying on board Nepal Airlines to have access to it.
Booking Flights with Nepal Airlines
Although the airline has a website, anyone interested in booking air travel would have to contact a passenger sales agent listed on the front page of their site at www.nepalairlines.com. For now, the website does not offer the option of booking flights directly online.
