Korean Air - Airline Information
Korean Airlines, formed in 1969, is the largest airline based in South Korea. It operates a worldwide network that links Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, North America, currently flying to 38 countries. It has its main hub at Incheon International Airport and its domestic hub at Gimpo International Airport. In the 2007 Skytrax Awards, Korean Air was voted as having Best Economy Class. Korean Airlines is part of the Skyteam alliance of airlines.
Korean Air Travel Classes – Cheap TicketsOn its international flights, Korean Air operates First, Prestige and Economy class.
First ClassPassengers travelling in First Class may relax in sleeper seats that offer comfort and each contain an individual video system. Inflight meals are available in a variety of cuisines along with French wine and wine from the destination country. Premium Care is a new service available to First Class passengers departing from Incheon Airport, where an attendant is provided to guide the passenger through the check in process and to the airport lounge. The service is available upon request.
Prestige ClassPrestige Class is the Korean Air Business Class service. Seats are widely spaced to ensure that passengers have plenty of room inflight. Champagne and port are available with the dessert course, with other fine wines available with the meal service.
Economy ClassThe seats in Economy Class are ergonomically designed to ensure the enhanced comfort of the traveller. The meal service offers Korean cuisine or that of the destination country. The free baggage allowance available to passengers is 23kg.
SkyPass Frequent Flyer ProgrammeKorean Airlines runs a frequent flyer programme called SkyPass. Morning Calm Club is the elite membership level, with members of the Morning Calm Premium Club and Million Miler Club obtaining Elite Plus benefits. SkyPass Junior is the frequent flyer scheme open to children under the age of 12. Membership in the schemes is free of charge and benefits include bonus free flights and additional baggage allowances.
