Korean Air - Airline Information
Korean Airlines, formed in 1969, is the largest airline based in South Korea. It operates a worldwide network that links Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, North America, currently flying to 38 countries. It has its main hub at Incheon International Airport and its domestic hub at Gimpo International Airport. In the 2007 Skytrax Awards, Korean Air was voted as having Best Economy Class. On Board Korean Air
Korean Air offers three types of First Class, two types of Business Class, Economy Class and the New Economy Class.
The overall sizes of the Economy Class and the New Economy Class seats are the same. Both are ergonomically designed and have 18 inch wide seats and a 34 inch pitch between them and recline up to 121 degrees. The New Economy Class seats have more features such as a sliding seat cushion, an AVOD controller along with a USB port. The high resolution LCD monitor is also bigger at 10.6 inches where the basic Economy monitor is 8.4 inches. Both include Audio and Video on Demand allowing you to select any channel, anytime.
First Class Kosmo Suites feature seats that are six inches wider that standard First Class seats and fully adjustable to all angles including back support and foot rest and a pitch of 83 inches between seats. The seat reclines 180 degrees to a fully flat bed at 79 inches long and 26.5 inches wide to experience the best flight in the most comfortable seat. Other features include taller partitions for more privacy and your own elegant and functional table. Included is a 23 inch wide screen LCD monitor with your own individual movie theatre and AVOD with remote control. Bose noise cancelling headphones are provide.
Power supply is at your seat along with your own individual storage compartment.
First Class Kosmo Sleeper Seats are ergonomically designed including a 180 degree sleeper seat with a bed length of 78 inches. The seat is 21.1 inches wide with an 83 inch pitch between them. A large partition is there for more privacy and fully adjustable reading lamp. Included is a 17 inch LCD monitor with AVOD and headsets with noise cancellation.
The First Class Sleeper Seat also reclines 180 degrees flat. Seats include foot stools to help you sleep more comfortably. There is extra space underneath the foot stool for storage. Seats are 20.6 inches wide with 83 inches between them. There is a wide back support and adjustable foot rest. A 10.4 inch LCD monitor is almost at the palm of your hand.
Korean Air Business Class
There are three types of Business Class seating also known as the Prestige Class and they include
The Prestige Sleeper reclines 180 degrees, including 21.6 inch wide seats and a pitch of 74 inches and fully adjustable back and foot rest with the touch of a button. The shell shape and adjustable sliding privacy screen allows for more privacy. Fully adjustable reading lamp is within easy reach as well as your own 15.4 inch LCD monitor with the AVOD system.
The Prestige Plus reclines 172 degree including 21.6 inch wide seats with a 60 inch pitch between seats. One touch button adjusts your seat and the back shell doesn’t move so it won’t affect the person in front or behind you. A center screen divider slides out for more privacy. A fully adjustable reading lamp is also provided along with a 10.4 inch LCD monitor.
Old Prestige Class – recline up to only 138 degrees and are slowly being phased out on most aircraft.
Passengers travelling in First Class may relax in sleeper seats that offer comfort and each contain an individual video system. Inflight meals are available in a variety of cuisines along with French wine and wine from the destination country. Premium Care is a new service available to First Class passengers departing from Incheon Airport, where an attendant is provided to guide the passenger through the check in process and to the airport lounge. The service is available upon request.
