KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is part of the KLM-Air France group, it is based in Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport. KLM was the national airline of the Netherlands prior to joining the KLM-Air France group and it is also the oldest carrier in the world. KLM is a member of the Skyteam alliance of airlines, with other partner members including Korean Air and Alitalia, enabling it to offer flights to a vast network of destinations across Europe and beyond.
Passengers travelling from Australia to Europe may take advantage of a free stopover in Kuala Lumpur, by using the Multi city booking facility offered by KLM.
KLM Air Travel Classes – Cheap FlightsOn its international routes, KLM operates World Business and Economy class cabins. Within Europe, KLM Europe Select offers a premium service with benefits including priority boarding and additional Flying Blue miles.
KLM World Business ClassWorld Business Class offers passengers dedicated check in desks at the airport, priority boarding and an additional baggage allowance. A three course meal is provided on board, along with complimentary beverages and snacks available at any time. Passengers may access airport lounges where they are available.
Economy ClassPersonal entertainment systems are available for all passengers, along with a complimentary meal and beverage service. The free baggage allowance for checked in baggage is 20kg.
On board its European routes, sandwiches are available to passengers.
Flying Blue Frequent FlyerThe frequent flyer programme run by KLM and Air France is called Flying Blue. Membership is held at either Ivory, Silver, Gold or Platinum level (all except Ivory are Elite membership levels). Benefits of membership include extra baggage allowance, bonus miles and priority check in (dependent on membership level). Lounge access is a benefit extended to Gold and Platinum members.
