Jetstar - Airline Information
Jetstar is an Australian low cost airline offering discount flights and holidays throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific. Jetstar is 100% owned by Qantas, but is managed independently. The airline offers airline tickets to a variety of domestic Australian routes from airports including Sydney, Melbourne - Avalon Airport, Brisbane, Cairns, Adelaide, Launceston, Townsville and the Gold Coast. Jetstar also offers great deals on one-way and return flights from Australia throughout Asia, including to Bali, Bangkok, Christchurch, Osaka and Phuket.
Cheap Jetstar flightsThe cheapest fares are available by purchasing tickets that allow passengers to take carry on baggage only on to the aeroplane, and these are known as JetSaver Light. Other fares available include JetSaver and JetSaver Flex.
International Jetstar flights – Star ClassStar Class is available on international flights, offering enhanced leg room (38 inch seat pitch) and inflight service. Priority check in is available and passengers in Australia may access the Qantas Club lounge before they board their flight. Complimentary meals and beverages are provided inflight.
Passengers in Economy class may purchase meals and beverages on board the flight, or may pre-order meals when booking their ticket. A complimentary bottle of water will be given to all passengers at the commencement of the flight. For passengers wishing to obtain more leg room, it is possible to pay a supplement to be sat in an extra legroom seat. Entertainment systems are available for hire.
Domestic flights and flights to and from New ZealandJetstar offers domestic flights within Australian and also flies to Christchurch in New Zealand. Passengers may purchase food and beverages inflight, and may also hire an entertainment unit.
Frequent flyer programmeJetstar passengers can earn points to be accrued on the Qantas Frequent Flyer scheme, providing they are travelling on a StarClass or JetFlex ticket only – terms and conditions apply, contact the airline directly for full details.
