Garuda - Airline Information
Garuda is Indonesa's national airline and is based in Jakarta. Garuda offers over 40 flights weekly from Australia, Korea, Singapore and Japan to Bali, with onward domestic connections available within Indonesia. In 2008, Garuda received the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration, which is the worldwide industry standard for airline safety. Garuda is not currently a member of an airline alliance.

Voted as the world’s best economy class as far as service and product in 2013 by Skytrax, Garuda Indonesia is the national airline of Indonesia. Their headquarters and main hub are at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, near Jakarta, along with four smaller hubs throughout Indonesia. They do have 8 smaller subsidiary carriers that include some cargo.
Their fleet size is 117 total aircraft and most of which include Boeing 737-800 and they currently have 83 new aircraft on order. In 2014, Garuda Indonesia will officially be a member of the Sky Team airline alliance group.

On Board Garuda Indonesia
Three classes of service and seating are offered on board Garuda Indonesia and they are First, Economy and Business Class.
First Class is offered on the new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and feature eight fully equipped luxurious private suites that include a sliding door for complete privacy. The seats are 22 inches wide and have an 82 inch pitch with a full 180 degree full flatbed recline, equipped with a duvet, pillows and an ottoman. The suites include a 24 inch touch screen LCD monitors with AVOD. Meals include Indonesian and international cuisine along with a great selection of wines, beverages and snacks.
Seating on Economy Class can vary depending on the type of aircraft you fly on and seat pitch can be from 30 to 35 inches although the width is 17 inches. Each seat features a 9 inch personal AVOD in-flight entertainment system featuring movies, TV shows and games. If flying a domestic flight, meals will include a snack, and on longer domestic flights and all international flights, meals will include a hot dish along with a selection of beverages.
Garuda Economy & Business Class, Cheap Flights
Garuda offers two cabin classes called Economy and Executive. Passengers on international flights in both classes receive a hot meal and beverages, along with a complimentary newspaper. A music and movie entertainment programme is also available to passengers in both Executive and Economy classes. Executive Class offers additional benefits including a wider seat pitch, priority check in and boarding and a larger baggage allowance.
On domestic flights, Garuda also operates Economy and Executive classes in its aircraft cabins, but with a reduced meal and entertainment service.
Garuda Indonesia Business Class
Garuda’s Business Class is also known as the Executive class. Depending on the type of aircraft, the seat pitch can vary from 41 to 74 inches. Some of the new cabins on the A330-245 and B737-800 aircraft have a pitch of 74 degrees with plenty of leg room including a full 180 flatbed recline. Seats also include a power source for laptops and USB ports and your own personal reading light. Other aircraft have smaller seat pitches. In-flight entertainment includes your own 15 inch flat screen with audio-video on-demand, providing a nice selection of movies, TV shows, music and games. Meals on board include a variety of Indonesian cuisine along with beverages, wines and beers, and snacks depending on flight duration.
Garuda Indonesia Lounges
The Garuda Executive Lounges at the main hub and throughout Indonesia are open to passengers that travel the Executive Class and those that hold a Gold or Platinum Garuda frequent flyer card.

Garuda Frequent Flyer Programme
Garuda also offers a frequent flyer programme called the Garuda Frequent Flyer (GFF) programme. Membership Tiers in the programme are Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum, with Platinum being the highest membership level. Benefits of membership of the scheme include a dedicated check in counter at Jakarta airport, increased baggage allowance and lounge access where available. GFF Junior membership is available to children aged between 2 and 11 years.
