British Airways

British Airways - Airline Information

British Airways is the largest airline of the United Kingdom and the third largest in Europe (behind Air France-KLM and Lufthansa). British Airways is a member of Oneworld, an airline alliance including Qantas and Cathay Pacific.

British Airways operates twice daily flights from Sydney to London, via Singapore or Bangkok, with connections across its network to other European destinations such as Frankfurt and Paris.

Its main hubs are London Heathrow and London Gatwick, with a wide-reaching European and domestic shorthaul network, including smaller hubs at other UK airports including Manchester, from which some longer-haul flights are also operated.

Why Fly On British Airways

British Airways was formed in 1974 thru the merger of four other British air companies and is United Kingdom’s largest airline. Its main hub is located at London Heathrow Airport. They operate the largest fleet of Boeing 747-400 jet liners. In addition, they are one of the founding members of the third largest alliance, Oneworld Alliance. This gives travellers more transfer and travel options, more countries and destinations, more airport lounges and even more earnings on the frequent flyer programs through its strong network of alliance partners.
