British Airways - Airline Information
British Airways is the largest airline of the United Kingdom and the third largest in Europe (behind Air France-KLM and Lufthansa). British Airways is a member of Oneworld, an airline alliance including Qantas and Cathay Pacific.
British Airways operates twice daily flights from Sydney to London, via Singapore or Bangkok, with connections across its network to other European destinations such as Frankfurt and Paris.
Its main hubs are London Heathrow and London Gatwick, with a wide-reaching European and domestic shorthaul network, including smaller hubs at other UK airports including Manchester, from which some longer-haul flights are also operated.
British Airways Inflight Service, Cabin & Classes BA First Class First Class is only available on long haul flights. Benefits include fine dining and a turndown service. Business facilities are available, including in-seat phones and power sockets.
BA Business Class Within Europe, the Business Class offered by British Airways is called Club Europe. Inflight service includes complimentary meals and beverages in a secluded cabin at the front of the aircraft.
BA’s long haul Business Class is known as Club World. The airline is rolling out an improved Club World service and hopes to have this completed by the end of 2008. Improvements include the introduction of a Club Kitchen, for use between the meal services.
BA Premium Economy World Traveller Plus is available on long haul flights and offers greater legroom and wider seats.
BA Economy Class World Traveller, on long haul flights, offers passengers personal seatback televisions, a complimentary bar and meal service and blankets, cushions and socks for comfort.
Euro Traveller, on short haul flights around Europe, offers a snack or meal service dependent on the duration of the flight.
BA Executive Club Frequent Flyer ProgrammeExecutive Club is the loyalty programme which British Airways operates to reward its regular travellers. Blue, Silver and Gold are the membership levels available. Silver and Gold members benefit from access to British Airways and Oneworld airport lounges (where available) and Gold members may also use BA First Check in facilities.
