Founded in 1973, Air Niugini is the national airline of Papua New Guinea and flies mostly domestic flights out of its main hub at Jacksons International Airport, also known as Port Morseby Airport in Papua New Guinea. The airline is wholly owned by the government. Their total passenger fleet size consists of 30 aircraft, most of which include the Bombardier Dash8 Q400 and the Fokker 100.
Air Niugini Flights
Air Niugini flies to 35 destinations in 7 countries across Asia, Oceania and Australia. Twenty five of the destinations are domestic and 10 are international to include Tokyo (Narita), Cebu, Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, Bali, Brisbane, Cairns, Sydney, and Nadi.
On Board Air Niugini
Two classes of seating and service are offered on board Air Niugini flights and they include the Economy Class and Business Class. Both domestic and international flights offer the Economy seating which is a standard width and pitch as with most airlines. Long haul flights offer full meals along with snacks and beverages. The domestic flights serve snacks and drinks only. In-flight entertainment is offered on most flights to include a selection of movies and audio channels.
Air Niugini Business Class
Business Class is currently only offered on long haul international flights. The seats on some aircraft are a cocoon style with full flatbed reclining features. Full meals are served on all flights along with snacks and beverages.
Air Niugini Lounges
The Executive Club is a paid membership service that allows members certain benefits depending on the membership level. Silver and Gold members are allowed access to the Domestic and International Paradise Lounges along with other features.
