Air Mauritius is the national airline of the island of Mauritius, which has been operational since 1967. It has its headquarters in Port Louis and refers to itself as your ‘preferred leisure airline’.
Air Mauritius operates both regional and international services, flying to over 25 destinations, including Australia. Air Mauritius has a large presence on European, African and Indian Ocean country airports, and the company performs a range of services in Mauritius for international airlines. Air Mauritius operates services to Perth, Sydney and Melbourne in Australia, and offers a wonderful stopover destination for passengers travelling on to Europe.
Air Mauritius offer helicopter flights tours ranging in length from 15 minutes to 1 hour, enabling travellers to appreciate the beauty of the area from the sky.
Air Mauritius InflightThe airline operates two on each aircraft - Business and Economy.
Business ClassBusiness Class passengers are able to check in at special allocated check in desks, and when departing Mauritius, are welcome to use the Business Class lounge at the airport. Baggage allowance for Business Class passengers is 30kg, with priority handling. On board the aircraft, lie-flat seats are available with large seat back televisions and noise cancelling headsets provided for passenger comfort.
Economy ClassOn long-haul flights, meals and beverages are complimentary, including a choice of hot main course. Baggage allowance is 23kg. Entertainment is available via individual seat back televisions (dependent on aircraft).
Requests for special meals should be made no later than 36 hours before the departure of the flight.
Air Mauritius Frequent FlyerKestrelflyer is the Frequent Flyer programmer of Air Mauritius. The three levels of membership in the scheme are Red, Silver (KestrelFlyer Plus) and Gold (KestrelFlyer Elite). Red membership is gained on registration. The silver level of membership is obtained for travellers accumulating 24,000 miles in 36 months and Gold is available to those accumulating 120,000 miles in 36 months. Benefits include helicopter services discount, additional baggage allowance and lounge access (dependent on membership level).
