Air France - Airline Information
Air France is the national airline of France, with its headquarters at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. It is a subsidiary of the Air France - KLM group. Amsterdam's Schiphol airport is also a hub of the combined group. In partnership with Dutch affiliate, Transavia, Air France owns a charter/low-cost airline to be based at Paris-Orly Sud Airport with leisure route services to a dozen destinations in Morocco, Tunisia, Italy, Spain and Greece.
The airline is part of the Skyteam Alliance, which is the second largest airline alliance in the world with eleven member airlines. SkyTeam calls itself the 'first alliance built around customer needs'. In 2006 and 2007, SkyTeam was the world's best airline alliance, according to the readers of Global Traveler Magazine. SkyTeam has two premium levels, Elite and Elite Plus, based on a customer's tier status in a member carrier's frequent flyer program.
Air France offers a coach service for passengers between Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airports in Paris, and also between the airports and the city.

There are two kinds of Economy Class travel available and they are the Premium Economy and the Economy. Both Economy classes are available if flying intercontinental or within Europe.
The Premium Economy class for flights within Europe offers seating that is located behind the Business cabin and in front of the Economy, so you will have seats with more leg room.
The Premium Economy class for intercontinental flights are even more comfortable because of the long haul. There are only a limited number of seats. This cabin is located just behind the business class and in front of the Economy class, however separated by dividers. The seats are 20% wider with 20% more leg room. The seats are ergonomic and recline with adjustable head and foot rests for maximum comfort. Storage spaces are available for your personal items. If you like to read, there is a personal reading lamp that is adjustable. Power supply is available for your laptop. For your entertainment, there is a personal 26 cm interactive video screen available. As you unwind to sleep a feather pillow is available along with a pure wool blanket to keep you warm and cozy. Long haul flights serve premium gourmet meals, cocktails, appetizers, snacks desserts, hot and cold drinks and even self-serving buffets on some flights.
La Premiere/ First class service is available at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. The cabin comprises only 4 – 9 seats that are curved for maximum comfort and privacy. The seats recline to a full 180 degree flat bed that is approximately 2 meters long. The seat also has a touch screen TV monitor with Audio-Video- On -Demand. Seats also feature an adjustable reading light, massage feature and even a privacy divider. A comfortable pillow and wool blanket are also provided. Light or classic gourmet meals are served along with wine from the La Premier wine cellar.
Air France Business Class Flights
The Business Class flights are truly a high end experience. If you are flying Business Class on flights within Europe, North Africa and Israel there are special designated cabins at the front of the airplane. There are four seats in each row, however plenty of leg room with comfortable seats that recline for your relaxation. Depending on the length and time of your flight you may be served a breakfast of warm pastries or for lunch or dinner you will be served a complete meal offering an appetizer, main meal and dessert.
Business Class Intercontinental, Caribbean, and Indian Ocean flights offer maximum comfort as your seat reclines to a full flatbed the length of almost 2 meters. You are provided with a hypoallergenic feather pillow and a very soft blanket. A power outlet is provided for your laptop and other devices along with an adjustable reading lamp. Noise cancelling headphones are also available.
Fine French cuisine on all business flights include a collection of fine French wines and Champagnes to choose from. A wide choice of programs and movies to watch and entertain you are available on the individual wide screens while you recline back and relax. Attentive staff are always courteous and promptly available for all of your needs.
With cabins containing between only four to eight seats, there is plentiful personal space to relax in. Fine dining meals are served on tables set with china and glassware. Other benefits of First Class include an additional hold baggage allowance, an allowance of two cabin bags per passenger and a seat that transforms into a two metre long bed, complete with comfortable bedding.

As a Flying Blue Member, the more you travel, the more miles you earn and the higher level of membership and privileges you earn. You can earn these miles through other 19 Sky Team Airline partners. Silver, Gold, and Platinum members have access to over 500 airport lounges that are available through Air France and their Sky Team Alliance member network partners. The lounges offer refreshments and comfortable seating to rest and recline before your next flight. Most lounges offer pastries and snacks and some even offer a meal with personalized service. Certain lounges however do charge an entrance fee. Lounges are also available to La Premiere and Premium Travelers.

Air France Frequent Flyer
Flying Blue is the frequent flyer program of Air France and KLM. In June 2005, the frequent flyer programs of Air France and KLM were combined to the Flying Blue program. Points can be earned on flights with Kenya Airways, Air Europa and other SkyTeam airlines. Points can be accrued and spend flights and associated services of Air France-KLM.
Flying Blue has four membership levels, with Ivory being the basic level. Silver (Skyteam Elite level), Gold (Skyteam Elite in USA, Elite Plus elsewhere) and Platinum (Skyteam Elite Plus level) are the Elite levels, with lounge access available to Gold and Platinum members.
