Why Fly On Air Europa
Air Europa is known as one of Spainís third largest airlines. The airlines main hub is located at Madrid Barajas Airport. In addition to its regular passenger flights, the airline also operates tour services throughout parts of Europe and to resorts in the Canary Islands and Baliearic Islands, as it is 100 percent owned by a travel and tourism company called Globalia. Air Europa is also considered Spainís largest privately owned airline. They have been a member of the Sky Team airline alliance since 2007. The airline currently operates a passenger fleet size of 46 aircraft, most of which include the Boeing 737-800 with an order of 41 additional aircraft and will include more of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Air Europa also has an over 83 % on time performance based on their 20 most active routes.
Air Europa Flights
The airline operates domestic and long-haul scheduled flights to North and South America and the Caribbean. In addition, Air Europa has code share agreements with all of its Sky Team alliance member airlines. They operate flights to and from over 85 different airports.
On Board Air Europa
Two classes of seating and service are offered on board Air Europa flights, Economy and Business Class. Economy Class is offered on all of the short and long haul flights. Seats on all flights are standard with a 17 inch width and include a 31 inch pitch between them, in line with other Economy Class airlines. The long haul flights feature seat back flat screen TV monitors, while some aircraft have overhead screens. Pillows and blankets are provided on the longer flights. All meals, snacks and beverages are provided on board and are complimentary on the long haul flights. Short haul Economy Class flights are very similar to other no-frill airlines. There is an additional charge if you are looking to reserve a seat ahead of time or choose one with more leg room. Sandwiches, snacks and beverages are also available for purchased on these flights
Air Europa Business Class
Air Europaís Business Class seating and services are called Club Business. The short haul service has the same seat pitch as the Economy Class at 31 inches. Complimentary meals and drinks are served on these flights. The Club Business Class for long haul flights are slightly different depending on the aircraft. Some of the seats are 19 inches wide with a pitch of 45 inches and recline 170 degrees with your own personal TV monitor. Other seats are 20 inches wide, with a pitch of 56 inches and recline 135 degrees with entertainment offered overhead.
Air Europa Lounges
There are nine VIP Lounges throughout Spain in addition to fifteen International VIP Lounges that is available to Business Class Passengers as well as the Gold and Platinum members of the Flying Blue frequent flyer program and other partner airlines.
Booking Your Flights with Air Europa
It is probably best to book all of your flights with the airline on their website www.aireuropa.com. The airline does charge an additional fee if the tickets are issued by Air Europa Ticket Offices or Air Europa Call Centers. Also be aware that if for whatever reason you change your flight, there is a penalty incurred based on fare rules, however, if you cancel your booking within 24 hours, you will get a full refund for the tickets purchased. Otherwise, booking your flights online is pretty simple, although be sure to thoroughly read the Baggageís and Services Fees section to gain a better understanding and not be surprised after itís too late.
