Argentina's largest domestic and international airline, Aerolineas Argentinas are specialists in flights to South America from Australia, with travel time from Buenos Aires to Sydney being approximately 19 hours. The airline is not currently a member of a major worldwide airline alliance.
In 1980, Aerolineas Argentinas was the first airline to operate a trans-oceanic South Pacific flight, from Buenos Aires, where it has its main hub, to Auckland, New Zealand, and Melbourne, Australia, using Boeing 747s.
International passengers travelling with Aerolineas Argentinas to Argentina are eligible to purchase reduced price tickets on the airline’s domestic network, with destinations including Cordoba, Corrientes and Rio Grande. Aerolineas Argentinas also offers its passengers the facility to purchase a South America Pass or a Mercosur Air Pass, both of which offer the opportunity to travel extensively in South America at reduced rates. Both passes have to be purchased outside South America.
Aerolineas Business ClassClub Condor is the Business Class cabin on Aerolineas Argentinas aircraft and is offered on all international flights. Facilities available when travelling long-haul in Club Condor include comfortable seats, personal toilet kits for men and women, a selection of fine wines from Argentina and a baggage allowance of 30kg.
Aerolineas Economy ClassComplimentary food and beverages are available to all passengers on international flights. On flights from Oceania to Argentina, entertainment videos are screened for the enjoyment of travellers, along with selected audio programmes. The baggage allowance for passengers in Economy class is 20kg.
Aerolineas Frequent FlyerAerolineas Argentinas operates a frequent flyer programme for loyal customers called Aerolineas Plus. Points can be earned towards free flights by flying with the airline and through transactions with selected programme partners. Benefits of membership include additional baggage allowance, priority check in at exclusive Club Condor counters and access to the VIP lounge.
