Why Fly On Aer Lingus
The national airline of Ireland was originally founded in 1936 and was a government run airline until 2006. It is the oldest airline of Ireland in addition to being the second largest. Currently, Ryanair owns almost 30 percent of the company and the Irish State is still holding on to approximately 25 percent. On Board Aer Lingus
Aer Lingus offers Economy Class seating and service on all of its flights and Business Class on its long haul transatlantic flights. Economy Class seats on both short and long haul flights are a standard width of 17 inches with a pitch of 32 inches between seats. Short haul flights offer no in-flight entertainment and beverages are available for purchase. Long haul Economy includes universal power supply at the seat and individual seat back TV monitors with video on demand and their new Fly Connected Wi-Fi available for purchase. Meals and drinks are complimentary on these flights.
Aer Lingus Business Class
Business class seating features 22 inch wide seats that have a pitch of 57 inches between them. Seats also recline to a 163 inch full flat position. Meals served are restaurant quality and include a nice selection of complimentary wines and beverages. Seats also feature a universal power supply for laptops and devices and individual 10.6 inch flat screen TV monitors with video on demand featuring movies, TV, music videos and games. The Wi-Fi is complimentary.
Aer Lingus Lounges
Most of the lounge facilities at airports served by the airline are operated by the airlines partner airlines and can be accessed by Business Class passengers, Gold Circle Club Member, United Airlines Codeshare passengers, Bank of Ireland Gold Visa Business Card Holders and Flex Fare Passengers that travel within Europe.
