Wuhan Flights Guide

Wuhan, ChinaChina's Wuhan is in the province of Hubei. It is one of the Three Furnaces – cities known for their piping hot summer temperatures. Wuhan is the hottest of the three, with Nanjing and Chongqing seeing only slightly lower temperatures.

The main tourist attraction in Wuhan is the Yellow Crane Tower. On top of Snake Hill, it is a modern tower. On the ground floor you can admire the entrance hall with its fabulous decorations and huge frescoes. It is overlooked by a balcony. The third floor has a reconstructed grand residence. There are various other marvellous features in the tower, and a visit is highly recommended. From the top floor of Yellow Crane Tower you can enjoy breath taking views of the mighty Yangtze River and sweeping views of the city of Wuhan. Nearby, you can see the Mao Pavilion.

Other places of interest include the Zen Guiyuan Temple, Baotong Temple, Hubei Provincial Museum, the Memorial Hall of Wuchang that commemorates the uprising in the 1911 Revolution, and Changchun Taoist Temple. Also worth a visit are Mao Zedong's Summer Villa, the East Lake, where swimming is possible, and Moshan Hill. The Botanical Gardens is home to an impressive array of flora, and kids will enjoy Wuhan Zoo. As well as animals, the zoo contains a stunning bonsai garden and a small amusement park.

Take a stroll along Jiqing Street at night time. The streets come alive with various street performers, street food vendors, pavement restaurants, and more. You can watch dancers, singers, comedians, and other entertainers.

Wuhan Tianhe International Airport operates flights to and from a variety of domestic and international destinations. It is also well served by road and rail. As a major port on the Yangtze River, it is also possible to get to Wuhan by boat. In the city, public transport includes buses, a metro network, and river ferries.
