Barbados Holidays,  Barbados Holiday Packages Overview

Like many other Caribbean islands, Barbados is also famous for its pristine beaches. However, what makes it stand apart from the rest is the fact that it is one of the more developed islands in the Caribbean. Barbados offers a very diverse range of hotels that cater to every budget and style.

However, Barbados has much more to offer once you scratch the surface. Central Barbados is home to imposing limestone hills and lush scenery. The colonial past of Barbados can still be seen and experienced in this area. Large plantation homes are still scattered around in Barbados.

Museums on the island show the gripping history of the island while the many parks and botanic gardens highlight the magnificent nature that the island is blessed with. The east coast of Barbados is very popular with surfers and those looking for outdoor activities like diving, hiking and wind-surfing.

Known all over the world for its rum, there are a number of scenic bars and restaurants in Barbados where you can enjoy many of its legendary rum-based drinks while enjoying beautiful vistas of azure waters and white sand beaches. Wine and beer are just as easy to find since Barbados makes its own beer that is quite popular with locals and visitors. Fresh seafood is plentiful on the island.

For shopping, Barbados offers a variety of duty free shops. The main street in Bridgetown has a number of jewellers while department stores like Cave Shepherd provide everything needed during your stay in Barbados.
