Rockhampton Flights Guide

Rockhampton, AustraliaAustralia's Rockhampton is situated between Mackay and Bundaberg within the state of Queensland. It is near to the coast, and is one of the oldest cities in Queensland. It is usually referred to as Rocky.

Some of the main places to visit in Rockhampton include the zoo and adjacent botanic gardens, Archer Park Station and Steam Tram Museum, and the Customs House and Riverside Esplanade. The large Rockhampton Heritage Village contains a collection of historic buildings, and at the Dreamtime Cultural Centre you can learn more about Aboriginal culture and heritage and see collections of native art. The Capricorn Spire is a unique place to visit.

Natural attractions include Mount Etna Caves National Park and the Capricorn Caves.

If visiting the coast, visitors should be aware of the presence of salt water crocodiles; they can be incredibly dangerous.
