Rio De Janeiro Flights Guide

A definite highlight is to spend a few days relaxing on some of Rio de Janeiro's amazing beaches. They are amongst the best in the world! Some of the most well known include Copacabana, Ipanema, Bara, and Lebion. The city has one designated nudist beach, Abrico. Vendors traverse the shores, selling a variety of goods from sunglasses to drinks, and snacks to beach wear.

Ride the funicular up to Christ the Redeemer for outstanding city views, and take the aerial tram up Sugar Loaf Mountain for even more sweeping vistas.

Maracana is the biggest football stadium in South America. It is enormous! Inside you can visit the Soccer Museum. It is a particular hit with football fans from all across the globe.

The Neoclassical Candelaria Church is one of the city's finest religious buildings. The Metropolitana Cathedral is a modern conical shaped place of worship. Other places of interest include various museums and galleries, the botanical gardens, Paco Imperial, Gloria Church, Saint Benedict's Monastery, Lapa Aqueduct, and the City Hall. Palacio do Catete and Itamaraty used to be presidential palaces, and Palacio Guanabara was used by the Imperial Princess.
