The town of Pathos is on the island of Cyprus. It is said to be the birthplace of the Greek Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, and is littered with spectacular archaeological remains and steeped in wonderful mythology.
The area is split into two, with most commercial activity higher up the hill, and the lower areas containing the main sightseeing attractions and tourist facilities.
