There is also a factory at Mount Hay for cutting and polishing gemstones. You can fossick,or take a tour of the fossicking area and factory. To fossick you must be wearing enclosed shoes. Picnic and BBQ facilities are available. The Archer Park Station and Steam Tram Museum allows visitors to step back in time to a steam train station. A digital soundscape provides an authentic soundtrack. The Purrey Steam Tram dates back to 1909 and is the only one of its kind in the world. Archer Park station was built in 1899 and the museum here details the history and growth of rail transport in Rockhampton.
