Karijini National Park is one of the most stunning natural attractions in Western Australia. Ancient gorges, waterfalls, clear rock pools, and amazing hiking trails place this on the must see list. This building was originally a warehouse established by Dalgety & Co. in 1903, and has been developed by the Port Hedland Historical Society. Dalgety House is a museum and interpretive centre and set in a dwelling evocative of the pastoral era. There are photographs, artifacts, documents, along with recordings of personal memoirs and audio visual displays. This is an open air museum that documents the importance of the railway, pastoral, iron ore and manganese industries on Port Hedland. In depth information on the development and uses is provided on the historically important displayed equipment. Eighty Mile Beach and Cape Keraurdren lie north of Port Hedland. Cape Keraudren is a pristine nature reserve. Eighty Mile Beach is famous for its beautiful white sands and shells. The flatback turtles can be observed nesting at Eight Mile Beach during summertime along with literally millions of migrating birds on their yearly flight from their breeding grounds in the Arctic. The turtles do not like being disturbed so it is vital that you follow the appropriate instructions.
