Mildura Attractions - Things to do
Mildura Brewery is located in the town's historic art deco building which was formerly the Astor Theatre. The Mildura Brewery was opened in December 2004, and produces seasonal beers and 5 permanent beers. Lunches and dinners are available 7 days a week, and while you are eating or drinking you can watch the brewery at work. Tours are available of the Mildura Brewery, and bookings are essential.

The Paddle Steamer Melbourne. The Melbourne paddle steamer allows passengers to experience the lock system of the Murray river. The paddle steamer will be lowered on the down journey and raised back up coming home. The cruises depart Mildura wharf twice a day, at 10.50 am and 1.50 pm, and runs for about 2 hours. Passengers can view the engine driving the massive gears of the paddle wheeler, and watch the fireman fire up the boiler. Tours provide commentaries of the history of the river, along with current issues, and flaura and fauna. A fully licensed kiosk is on board, along with toilets, and all weather conditions are amply provided for.

Kings Billabong Wildlife Reserve. This is a must for bird-lovers, as this park is home to many varieties of birds and water birds including swamp harriers, whistling kites, grassbirds, and reed warblers. Kings Billabong is part of the Murray River floodplain and majestic River Red Gums edge the billabong. Shell middens and carved trees can also be seen as part of the local Aboriginal heritage. Kings Billabong is 8 km south east of Mildura.
