Longreach Attractions - Things to do
Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame was opened in 1988 by Queen Elizabeth II. This is billed as a tribute to Australia's Outback, but includes Aboriginal history, the First Fleet, the early settlers and pioneers along with farming. The Stockman's Hall of Fame also documents the history and culture of life on the land. Other themes include exploration, discovery, the stock worker, and developing and living in the Outback. The Stockman's Hall of Fame is open everyday of the year except Christmas form 9am to 5pm. Be warned, this will take you more than an hour or two to really appreciate. During peak season, there is also an RM Williams Outback Stockman Show at 11am and 2pm Monday to Saturday. URL::: http://www.stockmanshalloffame.com.au Kinnon and Co horse drawn coach rides.
