Diamond shopping. What is more of a natural beauty than a coloured diamond? For those wanting a pink diamond, or any other colour for that matter, will be hard pressed to pass Kimberley Fine Diamonds. The Argyle Diamond Mine is the only diamond mine in the world that produces the pink coloured diamond and is located fairly close to Kununurra. It's worth a look through the window just to peek at the world's rarest diamond. Lake Argyle is 70 km south of Kununurra and is a popular site for all sorts of water activities. Lake Argyle feeds into Lake Kununurra which irrigates up to 80 farms growing mangoes, cotton, sugar cane and melons. The islands scattered through Lake Argyle were originally mountains before the dam was created. Towering red cliffs up to 150m high surround Lake Argyle which is home to a huge variety of waterbirds.
