Seal Bay Conservation Park offers visitors the opportunity to observe the third largest sea lion colony in Australia. Seal Bay conservation park lies on the south coast of King Island, about a 60 minute drive from Kingscote. Guided tours are available and the park is open from 9am to 5 pm every day except for Christmas. The sea lions have become accustomed to humans and you are able to walk among the dozing sea lions resting on the sand, or if you would prefer, you can keep your distance and observe them from boardwalks. Be sure to pack your camera.

Vivonne Bay. Visit the best beach in Australia, as determined by Sydney University and see for yourself the clean and pristine waters. This is a great place to enjoy a picnic, or fish, surf, and swim. There is an excellent photo opportunity nearby at Point Ellen where the Southern Ocean can be seen pounding waves into the cliffs.
Flinders Chase National Park is a group of protected areas extending over the western end of the island and is located about 110 km west of Kingscote. This is a must see for anyone interested in amazing rock formations, and plenty of native flora and fauna. Animals that can be seen in their natural environment include Cape Barren geese, echidnas, kangaroos, koalas, goannas, and the Tammar wallaby. There are numerous walking tails that provide plenty of opportunities for flora and fauna lovers to do some spotting. Admirals Arch is a great example or ocean erosion and Remarkable Rocks are naturally sculptured. Both are amazing sights that should not be missed.
