Wilderness areas abound in Flagstaff and surrounding areas for hiking, biking and fishing. Humphrey’s Summit, the highest Arizona mountain, is some 25 km from the downtown. Sedona’s red rocks are also merely a half hour’s drive. One of the biggest attractions here are the diverse landscapes and parks to explore which include the best preserved meteor crater on earth and ancient indigenous ruins.
