Lagos Flights Guide

Lagos, NigeriaLagos is Nigeria's largest city, and is the second biggest city in Africa. It lies along the Atlantic Coast, and is well known for music and night time fun. Two large islands are located a short way from the mainland.

Lagos has an international airport, and bus services link the city to the rest of the country. There is an overnight rail service between Kano and Lagos. The reccommended way to move around within the city is to hire a car with driver, or alternatively to use taxis. There are bus services, but they can be very confusing for a visitor. Ferries operate between the mainland and the islands.

Badagry Town is a moving and emotional must visit place in Lagos. Also known as the Point of No Return, it is the site where slaves were bundled onto ships bound for various destinations.

Lagos boasts a selection of nice beaches. They include Lagos Bar Beach, Lekki Beach, Eleko Beach, and Tarkwa Bay. Al fresco dining and sunbathing are popular. At Lighthouse Beach you can see the old lighthouse that protects the harbour.

The city's museums include the National Museum of Nigeria, the Nike Art Gallery and the Didi Museum. The National Theatre of Arts and Culture is a leading performing arts venue.

The lively and bustling markets sell a variety of goods, and the atmosphere is quite exciting.
