Kunming is the capital city of China's Yunnan Province. Its climate has earned it the nickname of the City of Eternal Spring.
Kunming Changshui International Airport links Kunming to a variety of domestic destinations as well as other cities in Asia. Trains and buses also connect the city to a large number of places across China. With congested roads, bicycles can often be a good way to dodge the traffic and move around the city. There are also public buses and taxis.
Yunnan Province is home to the delightfully named Earth Forest, Stone Forest, and Colourful Sand Forest. Two of these, Earth Forest and Stone Forest, are situated i Kunming. Colourful Sand Forest is in Luliang. Earth Forest is a popular scenic spot, with interesting trees and tiger Leaping Beach. Stone Forest contains a number of fascinating formations.

Have a look at Guando Old Town, with its many parks, temples, bridges, shops, and restaurants. Despite its name, it blends new parts with the old. The Kunming Flower and Bird Market is interesting.
For children, try the zoo, botanical gardens, and the nearby Dinosaur Valley.
