Karachi Flights Guide

Karachi, PakistanKarachi is Pakistan's biggest city. It is the financial heart of the city, and also home to numerous attractions for all. It sits on the Arabian Sea and is a thriving, modern, fast paced, cosmopolitan city. It offers a blend of Asian, European, Western, and Middle Eastern influences.

Amongst Karachi's beaches are Clifton Beach, Sandspit Beach, French Beach, and Hawks Bay Beach. The water is generally not so clean though, and swimming is best avoided. There are several islands off the coast, including the Bundle Islands, Oyster Rocks, Churna Island, and Minora Island.

Port Grand is a centre for entertainment and culinary treats. A particularly note worthy feature is the 150 year old Banyan tree in the middle. Dolmen City is Karachi's biggest shopping complex, with shops, a food court, an amusement park, and good beachfront views.

Of Karachi's parks, Bagh-e-Ibn-e-Qasim is the most well known. It features a pier, a mosque, an underground temple, a mausoleum, and an amusement park.

Quaid-e-Azam's Mausoleum is a striking sight; white marble, a spectacular chandelier, and delicate sweeping arches create a visual glory. There are a handful of museums in Karachi. The planetarium is sure to keep kids entertained. There are also several theme parks and water parks.

Discover natural Karachi at the mangrove forests within the WWF Wetland Centre. Turtle spotting is possible in some coastal areas.

Adventure enthusiasts will be pleased – the city offers snorkeling, diving, jet skiing, fishing, windsurfing, and paragliding. There are golf clubs, and the Go Aishe Adventure Park has paintballing, climbing, an ATV track, and a rope course.

For diverse dining, try Devil's Point. It is home to a great variety of restaurants.

The largest airport is Jinnah International Airport. One can also access the city by bus, train, car, and boat. The best way to move around within Karachi is by bus. Taxis and rickshaws are available across the city.
