Ibiza is a Spanish island and is part of the Balearic group. It is an immensely popular holiday resort, with youngsters seeking, sun, sea, sand, and parties, and families heading to the quieter spots. The main areas are San Antonio, Ibiza Town, and Santa Eularia des Riu.
You can get to the island by air or by sea. Buses and taxis traverse the island, and most of the main tourist areas are walkable.
As well as the lovely beaches all around the island, there are several things to see and do for a break from all that relaxation and sunshine fun! The old areas in Ibiza Town are very pretty, with picture perfect postcard views.
Visit the west coast of the island and see the unusual and interesting rock, steeped in mysticism, that is called Es Vedra. Another top natural sight is Cova da Can Marca, a series of caves in San Miguel. Another popular place is San Antonio's Passeig de ses Fonts.
You can take a variety of boat trips, including those to the nearby island of Formentera, dinner cruises, and the infamous booze cruises.
Ibiza is covered in lots of beautiful scenery, just begging to be explored.
In addition to the regular markets, Ibiza holds two famous hippy markets once a week; Es Canar Hippy Market and Las Dalias Hippy Market. Es Canar Market is on Wednesdays and Las Dalia Market is on Saturdays.
There are numerous places to sleep, eat, drink, and party, with many top name DJs regularly appearing at the island's various clubs.
