Sao Paulo Holidays Overview
Sao Paulo, affectionately known as Sampa, is a massive city. Not only is it the largest city in Brazil, with a population of almost 20 million, it is also known to be one of the most populated cities in the world. Sao Paulo always comes across as extremely intimidating to the first time visitor and it does not offer any natural beauty or shades of green to soothe down the nerves. It is also known to be constantly haunted by problems like traffic, smog, a huge income disparity and crumbling sidewalks and attractions. Despite all its problems, the city still manages to attract a healthy amount of travellers every year.
One of the biggest reasons for tourism is the fact that Sao Paulo is a typical metropolis in every sense. It offers tourists with a range of culinary delights that are worth sampling and an interesting array of museums and art galleries that offer great insights into the Brazilian history and culture. However, what really places Sao Paulo on the tourist map is its 24 x 7 party scene and its raucous nightclubs and bars.
Moreover, any number that is associated with Sao Paulo is dizzying and enchanting in equal parts. More than 10000 restaurants, 150 museums, cultural centres and art galleries, 400 theatres and cinemas, and 15000 bars and nightclubs can delight or frighten the traveller in equal parts. It might be a headache to choose the best from the various options available, but who doesn’t love to have more things to choose from.
Simply put, its pulsating lifestyle, typical Brazilian party culture, relentless energy, exotic attractions and raucous clubs are what make Sao Paulo so famous and make it one of the greatest cities in the world.
