Humberside Holidays Overview

Humberside was a county in North East England until 1996, when it was divided into smaller areas. The name is still used as a geographic reference and by certain institutions such as the local police force and airport, and refers to land either side of the Humber estuary. Towns in Humberside include Grimsby and Scunthorpe, although the main city is Kingston upon Hull, generally known simply as Hull. This is one of Yorkshire’s key cities, and is an up and coming waterfront location. The last few years have seen a transformation in Hull, and there are now excellent museums, parks and gardens, a variety of festivals and events.
