Exmouth illuminated carnival
The Exmouth carnival is a fun annual event held in October that features an illuminated procession of competing light displays. There are three categories for single entries, small team floats and large displays. The carnival procession begins at Marine Way and continues along Exeter Road through the town centre, past the Strand Gardens and ends at the Manor Gardens fountain.

Exmouth Christmas Swim
Hundreds of the brave inhabitants of Exmouth take to the freezing sea every year at 11am on Christmas morning for what may be the largest Christmas swim in the country. The swimmers, many of whom are in fancy dress for the occasion, all run into the sea at the same moment. The event takes place just in front of the Clock Tower, and thousands of spectators come to watch the swimmers both from the land and from boats on the sea.

Spirit of the Exe
A new annual festival, launched in 2009, the Spirit of the Exe celebrates the Exe Estuary and the natural wildlife that it supports. Thousands of visitors flocked to the first festival of its kind which included family entertainment, tasting mussels, oysters and cockles from the Exe, and an Exe Estuary art competition.
