Antalya Holidays Overview
Antalya is Turkey’s leading Mediterranean resort, and is a popular retirement location for other European countries. It has a picturesque old town, with winding streets and traditional wooden houses, and parts of the ancient city wall can still be seen, notably the two towers that stand either side of the city gates.
Overall Antalya is an attractive place to visit with shady palm lined boulevards and a superb marina on the Mediterranean. Natural attractions in the area include the Duden Waterfalls, Lara Beach and the Taurus Mountain Range. The the Bey Dagi National Park is just a short drive away and there is even a ski resort within fifty kilometres on the Bakirli Mountain.

Side International Culture and Art Festival
Held over seven days in September, the Side International Culture and Art Festival has a varied program of music concerts, including rock and pop, jazz, classical orchestras, and folk. The events are held at the Side Harbour or the Apollon Temple near Antalya. There are also street bands playing each day.
Altin Portakal Film Festival
Also known as the Golden Orange Film Festival, the Altin Portakal Film Festival in Antalya is Turkey’s premier film festival and has taken place annually since 1963. The festival takes place in autumn and is organised by Foundation of Culture and Arts in Antalya. The International Eurasia Film Festival takes place at the same time.
