Other places of interest include the Hainan Provincial Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Haikou Shishan Crater Cluster National Geological Park, makes for a very interesting trip. It is filled with volcanoes, craters, and caves. It is one of China's best volcanic cluster areas. The mountain areas around Haikou are stunning.
