| This epic trip takes you right the way across South America from Cartagena to Rio, from steaming jungle to icy mountain passes, from sparkling salt flats to Brazil’s beautiful beaches. Starting in Cartegena on the Caribbean coast we explore the unspoilt beaches of Tyrona National Park and the beautiful, lunar like Los Nevados National Park as we head south to Ecuador's capital, Quito, and the Amazon Jungle. From Lima we overland down Peru’s Pacific coast, visiting Arequipa and the dramatic Colca Canyon before heading inland to Machu Picchu. Crossing the Altiplano we head to Bolivia, through the surreal Uyuni Salt Flats and crossing into Argentina’s Lake District. There is a chance to ride out with gauchos as we stay on a working estancia and overland across the pampas to Buenos Aires.
