	HIGHLIGHTS: Delhi - India Gate - Janpath Bazaar - Varanasi - Sarnath - Ganges River - Agra - Taj Mahal - Fatehpur Sikiri - Karauli - Rajput palace - Jaipur - Hawa Mahal - Jantar Mantar - City Palace - Amber Fort - Sawarda - Mandawa Commencing in Delhi, we take an overnight train to Varanasi, the holiest of Hindu cities jammed along the banks of the Ganges River. The river's ghats come alive at dawn as Hindu pilgrims, many from far away, perform their rituals as the sun rises. We take a boat trip to witness this mesmerizing spectacle. The old city is a warren of alleyways and a lot of fun to explore. Another train journey takes us to Agra, where we visit one of the world's most famous and beautiful monuments - the Taj Mahal. We continue to the eerie abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri before reaching Karauli, where we are hosted by the descendents of Rajput royals. Rajasthan's capital, the 'Pink City' of Jaipur, exudes colour and vibrancy. A highlight of our stay in this fascinating city is visiting the huge Amber Fort. Sawarda and Mandawa are hidden gems of Rajasthan, where we get to experience the region's magic in relative seclusion and away from large crowds.
