It combines exciting contrasts covering the length of Thailand, from trekking in the hills and the cultural heritage of the rugged north, to trips through rainforests and snorkelling in the tropical south. This comprehensive tour begins in the capital Bangkok, where we visit the famous Reclining Buddha and Grand Palace, before heading to Kanchanaburi and the Bridge over The River Kwai, an immense engineering feat, at great human cost of the Second World War. Next, were off by overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai, where over three days we trek by foot and on elephant back, staying overnight in traditional Thai minority family homes. Walk through the jungle to visit small villages, meet hill tribes for a taste of their culture, and try rafting on bamboo rafts.
