Bristol Flights Guide

Bristol, United KingdomThe United Kingdom's Bristol is a large city situated in the South West of England. In the past, it was an important seaport, and you can take a pleasant stroll along the waterfront today. Bristol is statistically one of the warmest places in the country.

One place of interest is the Seven Stars pub. This is an important historical site as it was where a great deal of research and work was conducted by abolitionist Thomas Clarkson in his efforts to put an end to the slave trade. Bristol Industrial Museum provides an interesting look at the city's former industrial strengths. Bristol Cathedral is another popular city centre attraction. The white building is very beautiful both inside and out.

Cabot Tower still stands proudly, there are fine examples of Tudor dwellings across the city, many nice churches, and Kings Weston House makes for a great day out.

Bristol hosts several large annual festivals, including a large food festival and See No Evil, an artistic street event.

There is good shopping in the city. There are various places to stay, to suit all budgets, and a number of terrific places to eat. The city has a youthful and diverse night life.

Bristol enjoys good road and rail links with other parts of the country, and there is an airport nearby. The city itself is easy to explore.
