Belfast Flights Guide

Belfast, United KingdomBelfast is the capital city of Northern Ireland. In the past it was plagued with numerous problems, resulting directly from the troubles in Ireland, but today it is relatively peaceful. The main mass of Belfast is in County Antrim, but parts also lie in County Down.

The city has strong connections to the linen industry, hence earning it the quirky nickname of Linenopolis. The unlucky ship, The Titanic, was built in Belfast, and you can visit attractions which tell about the ship's construction and its ill-fated maiden voyage.

Other places of interest include the stunning castle, the outlying hills and mountains, the City Hall, Obel Tower, and the Big Wheel. Additionally, you can visit the Crown Liquor Saloon, Belfast Zoo, which is ideal for families, Windsor House, and the Botanic Gardens. There are several great art galleries and museums in the city, as well as a number of public parks. You can enjoy a performance at one of Belfast's theatres.

As a leading tourist destination in Northern Ireland, there are great facilities and amenities for visitors, including a selection of accommodation options, and plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop. Night life can be raucously good fun. Try a pint of Guinness, the popular Irish drink.

Belfast has two airports, Belfast International Airport and George Best Belfast City Airport. It is also easy to reach by land, rail, and sea. The main city area is compact enough to be explored by foot. Public transport options are also available, but there are no services during the night, so taxis are the only option come nightfall.
