King Abdulaziz International Airport is made up of two terminals; the South Terminal is used exclusively by domestic Saudi Airlines while the North Terminal is used by all international flights. These two terminals are located on opposite sides of the airport and are connected only by taxi. The South Terminal also serves as the Haj Terminal which is used by exclusively by Hajj pilgrims on their way to the holy city of Mecca. This terminal houses a mosque and has several other facilities for the pilgrims. This terminal is also served by airlines from non-Muslim countries during the Hajj season.
